What NBA star sings the Counting Crows song, “Mr. Jones” to hisself while shooting free throws? The Dallas Mavericks Dirk Nowitski, of course! The California band formed in the 90s and hasn’t looked back.

“It washes her away and Anna begins to change her mind.” From “Anna Changes.” Oh yeah.

Adam Duritz, David Bryson, Charley Gillingham, Dan Vickrey, David Immergluck, Jim Bogios and Millard Powers began acoustic band life in San Francisco night clubs. They filled in for an ailing Van Morrison at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show in 1993 and caught the attention of the legendary The Band member Robbie Robertson.

Counting Crows’ first album “August and Everything,” sold twenty million albums worldwide. Its early music was heavily influenced by Bob Dylan, The Band, Mike and the Mechanics and Van Morrison.
