Elvis Costello broke into the British pub music scene in the early 1970s. His debut album, “My Aim is True” was a smash hit. He was in the first wave of the so-called British Punk movement. He has appeared as an actor both in film and television. He won a Grammy Award and a Brit Award for Best Male Singer.

“Rolling Stone Magazine” named Elvis Costello Number 80 on the Top 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. He was famously banned from “Saturday Night Live” when he purposely switched songs and infuriated producer Lorne Michaels. Costello has dabbled in classical music and was awarded an honorary PhD in Music. He has also enjoyed success as a country singer.

Various incarnations of The Imposters have been Elvis Costello’s backup band for decades.
