“Evil Dead the Musical”

Join the splattering of applause as you enjoy the fake blood-fest of “Evil Dead-The Musical,” at the Broadway Playhouse in Water Tower Place, and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel in Hyde Park!

“Evil Dead-The Musical” is a hilarious spoof of the 1980s cult classic trio of horror films, ‘”Evil Dead,” “Evil Dead II” and “Army of Darkness,” all written and directed by Sam Raimi. Five naive college kids stay in an abandoned cabin in the woods and sing songs, unleashing a wave of evil—all as Ash, our hero, spews one-liners and fights off demons.

Enjoy such memorable songs as “I’m Not a Killer,” “All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Kandarian Demons,” and the fabulous demon song, “Do the Necrocomicon.” Sit in the front rows and get splattered by gallons of fake blood!

“Bloody hilarious.” The Toronto Star. “Music and mayhem, blood trail included.” The New York Times.

“Evil Dead-The Musical” got its start in Canada, went on to Off Broadway in 2006 and now plays as a permanent show in Las Vegas. The Chicago touring show opens September 23 and plays through October 12. Not recommended for children under the age of twelve.

The Broadway Playhouse is located at 175 East Chestnut Street, on the Magnificent Mile. For tickets and more information, call (312) 977-1700.
