In this the age of the female comic, New York comic Marina Franklin got her big break in late night television, appearing on “The Nightly Show” with Larry Wilmore, “The Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Chapelle’s Show,” with Dave Chapelle, and “Conan,” with Conan O’Brien. She started getting roles in such legendary TV series as “Louie” (Louis C.K. has named her one of his favorite seven comics), and “The Jim Gaffigan Show.”
Marina Franklin currently is a staff writer on the Sarah Jessica Parker HBO hit “Divorce,” has been a finalist on Season 2 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” and is a writer and actor on “Inside Amy Schumer.” She has been a regular on comedian John Oliver’s New York stage show, Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and has appeared on Oprah and with Wanda Sykes.
