Taste of Chicago, the annual pig out fest for food and music, is the biggest draw in the Chicago festival scene. Choose from five days of samples from Chicago’s finest restaurants, pick some Pop Ups (restaurants that “pop up” for a day), or Food trucks!
Food lineup: Five day restaurants include Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill, Vee-Vee’s African Restaurant, Eli’s Cheesecake, Gold Coast Dogs, Billy Goat Tavern and Grill and a whole lot more. Pop Up Restaurants include Armi, Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, Pork and Mindy’s, Yum Dum, Puffs of Doom, and that’s just some of the new ones! Food trucks: Da Lobsta, Firecakes Donuts, La Patrona, Gino’s Steaks Trucks, and my favorite, Ms. Tittle’s Cupcakes.
You want music? How about The Roots, Kongos, The Decemberists, Billy Idol, The Isley Brothers, Righteous Hillbillies, Chicago Latin Groove, American Grizzly, Eight Bit Tiger, Impulsive Hearts and about a thousand others?
