Bring your beautiful family to the Ugly Sweater Run starting at Soldier Field December 12, and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel!
Nothing says “holiday” like an ugly, seasonal sweater, especially for a good cause. Add five extra dollars to your entrance fee for The Ugly Sweater Run, which goes to Save the Children!
The Ugly Sweater Run 5K course starts at Soldier Field at 11 p.m. You can walk the course, run the course, push your baby’s stroller on the course, and take your ugly sweater-clad doggy on the course. Heck, you can dance the course! Burn those calories then replace those calories with a Sam Adams seasonal beer, a Kaluha cocktail (you must be of age), and unlimited hot chocolate.
You will run 3.5 miles through beautiful parks and city streets. The start line features inflatables, Christmas music (uh-oh, this writer isn’t running), photo stations and games for little elves! The finish line will have refreshments and the Best Ugly Sweater, Best Kids Sweater, Best Pet Attire, and Best Fake/Real Mustache/Beard contests.

Make your Ugly Sweater Run experience more enjoyable by staying at the Chicago Lake Shore Hotel, in historic Hyde Park.
