“A Night in New Orleans: A Magic Treehouse Adventure” is a musical based on the 42nd story of a beloved children’s series, Magic Treehouse Books by author Mary Pope Osborne. The musical was written by her playwright/musician husband, Will Osborne in collaboration with Murray Horwitz (“Ain’t Misbehaving”) and composer and legendary New Orleans musician Alan Toussaint.

Magic Treehouse characters Jack and Annie are on a mission on the night before All Saints Day, in the Big Easy: Find 14-year-old Louis Armstrong and inspire him to become the legend we all know Armstrong came to be. There is a live jazz band, a cast of colorful characters, and a lesson about dreams, race and possibilities.
