Bank of America Chicago Marathon

Fly or drive to Chicago so you can run in the 38th annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon, October 6-8 and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel!

The Bank of America Marathon is one of six Marathon Majors along with Boston, New York, Tokyo, London and Berlin. The official race is Sunday, October 11, but there are many festivities the prior two days. You can race as a professional or amateur, as part of a team, as a senior, or you can stand along the route and cheer on your loved ones!

There will be a 27th mile post race party in Grant Park with beer and music, massage therapists and a reuniting tent where racers can meet up with supporters and loved ones!

The Abbot Health and Fitness Expo, located in the McCormick Place Convention Center, North Building, Hall B., 2301 South Prairie Avenue, kicks off the weekend. Runners may pick up race packets Friday and Saturday starting at 9 a.m., shop for racing supplies, or just meet up with friends.

To run in the Bank America Marathon, you must be at least sixteen years of age (parental consent required) and capable of running the full twenty-six mile distance. Make your Bank America Chicago Marathon experience more enjoyable by staying at the Chicago Lake Shore Hotel, in historic Hyde Park. Chicago Lake Shore offers free shuttle bus service to and from the Loop area and is close to bus and train services. The Lake Shore Café offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. AND Jazz and seafood buffet (non-seafood items available) Friday nights.
