Gilbert Gottfried at Zanies

Celebrate spring in Chicago by seeing comedy legend Gilbert Gottfried at Zanies Night Club April 27, and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel!

Gilbert Gottfried is a force of nature. His voice, somewhere between rusty door hinge and strangled duck, is one of the most recognizable in the world. If you’re looking for politically correct humor, look elsewhere.

Gilbert Gottfried has been performing since he was fifteen. In 1980, he was discovered by a talent scout for “Saturday Night Live” and added to the cast. Unfortunately, his comic skills were ill-used. Then voice work for cartoon films began, with Gottfried starring in the “Aladdin” movie franchise. From there he appeared on “Hollywood Squares,” and became the voice of the Aflac duck. He assumed the role of a horse on “Family Guy,” and then YouTube discovered him. Go online and watch him read from the awful “Fifty Shades of Grey” book.

Now Gilbert Gottfried is as American as a very weird apple pie. He appears on the late night talk shows, and he is a regular on the Comedy Central roasts.

Zanies Night Club is located at 1548 North Wells Street in Old Town. For tickets, go online to http://www.zanies.com/chicago/ and follow the prompts.
