Jim Gaffigan in Concert

If comedy is your thing, don’t miss the Jim Gaffigan concert at Chicago’s First Merit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island August 6, and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel!

Jim Gaffigan is one of the funniest comics on the planet. Not exactly a pretty boy, Gaffigan is an everyman who mines comedy gold from life around him, especially food. He makes a living and people laugh when he talks about Hot Pockets, cake and bacon. His comedy is suitable for teens and above.

Gaffigan made his television debut on “Late Night with David Letterman,” wowing his audience. Long before that, he appeared in small parts in movies and TV series. A native of suburban Elgin, Illinois, Gaffigan will no doubt reminisce about growing up in Chicagoland.

Jim Gaffigan’s newest project is “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” written by him and his wife Jeannie Gaffigan, which will air on TV Land starting July 15, about a couple raising five kids in a two bedroom apartment. 20% of Gaffigan’s online comedy profits go to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, supporting military veterans. His memoir, “Dad is Fat,” was published in 2013.

First Merit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island is located at 1300 South Linn Drive along Chicago’s lakefront. For tickets, go online to www.jim-gaffigan.ticketschicago.net.
