Lucas Graham is most often referred to as a pop-soul hybrid. The New York Times called the band’s sound “the place where pop meets R & B.” The band won the 2015 MTV Music Video Award, and is being considered in three categories for the 2017 Grammy Awards. Lucas Forchhammer, the band’s founder, grew up in an artist’s colony in Denmark called Christiana. He credits his childhood there as being a major influence on his music.
