His feature film “The Producers” ranks as one of the ten funniest movies of all times. “The Producers” went on to become a smash hit on Broadway starring Mathew Broderick and Nathan Lane. “Young Frankenstein,” also on the list of top ten funniest movies, has now become a hit Broadway musical.

Mel Brooks starred in the hit TV show “Mad About You,” and he wrote and produced the hilarious “Get Smart.” He received a 2009 Kennedy Center Award, was the subject of an “American Masters” documentary on PBS, and was the 41st recipient of the American Film Institute Award for a body of work.
