August 4th, Sudanese pop star Sinkane (jazz and funk) and New Zealand’s singer and composer Mark de Clive-Lowe (jazz, electronic dance music and funk), August 11th, Mbongwana Star (psychedelic dance music from the Republic of Congo) and the Dos Santos Antibeat Orchestra (Latin and American dance music), August 18th, Elephant Revival (gypsy, alt country, rock, Celtic), August 25th, Tortoise (post rock instrumental quintet) and Homme (improvisational music, folk, rock)!
Come early, walk along Lake Michigan, visit Buckingham Fountain, enjoy a picnic, or purchase food from food trucks, OR eat at any of downtown Chicago’s fabulous restaurants.
The Millennium Park Summer Music Series is located at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion 201 East Randolph Street in Chicago. There are assisted listening devices, and wheelchair loans available. All concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. For more information, go online to www.cityofchicago.org and follow the prompts.
