Millennium Park July 4 Music Festival

The Grant Park Orchestra annually calls the Millennium Park Music Festival home, as it presents a summer-long series of low-priced and free concerts! This year’s 4th of July concert features George Gershwin’s masterpiece “Piano Concerto in F,” Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” Aaron Copland’s “Appalachian Spring,” John Phillip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever,” and much more!

Bring blankets or lawn chairs, or purchase $25 dollar tickets for VIP seating and enjoy one of the great summer experiences! Come early for the free-pre-show talk on the music and its composers!

This summer’s July 4th spectacular features pianist Terence Wilson and conductor Christopher Bell. The Grant Park Orchestra is composed of professional musicians from across the country who play for other symphony orchestras or teach at universities with renowned music programs. The members spend the ten week residency in Millennium Park rehearsing during the day (the public is invited to watch the rehearsals) and playing concerts at night.
