Noel Gallagher

Come to the Chicago Theatre to see Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in concert February 24, and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel in Hyde Park!

Noel Gallagher, of course, started out his music career with the iconic Brit band Oasis. Then he had an onstage fight with his brother Liam, and that was that. High Flying Birds is now on tour in support of its newest album, “Who Built the Moon?”

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds band consists of Mike Rowe on keyboards, Russell Pritchard on bass, Chris Sharrock on drums, Gem Archer on guitar, Jessica Greenfield on backing vocals and Charlotte Marionneau on tin whistle and other percussion instruments. Metacritic rated “Who Built the Moon” with a score of seventy-six out of a hundred. “This sounds like the work of a man who has been micro-dosing LSD.” The Times

Oasis was a smash hit almost from their inception. The band won four MTV Music Awards and was nominated for three Grammy Awards. Their breakout album, “Definitely Maybe,” went to Number One on the charts in Britain. But the personal squabbles of the Gallagher brothers (Liam is said to have hit his brother with a tambourine and smashed Noel’s guitar) effectively ended the band’s life.
