Nora Jones was born with musical chops. Her father was sitarist Ravi Shankar, who became a household name in the Beatles era. Her newest album, “Day Breaks,” was named “One of the Best Albums of 2016,” by Rolling Stone Magazine. Jones will be accompanied by the band Aloysius 3.
Nora Jones’s first album, “Come Away with Me,” sold over 26 million copies. The record won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best New Artist. Billboard named her the best jazz artist of the 2000-2009 decade. She has appeared with The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Ray Charles and Mavis Staples, and she has appeared twice on “Austin City Limits,” for PBS.
Jones is currently working on the Hank Williams Project, along with Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams and Allan Jackson. She has won five Billboard Music Awards, and nine Grammy Awards.
