Of Monsters and Men at the Riviera

Of Monsters and Men is currently touring to promote their new album, “Beneath the Skin,” which soared to the top of the charts in the US and other countries. Many of their songs have popped up on such TV series and movies as “The Walking Dead,” “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.”

You know you’ve got a great band when you can’t pronounce a single band member’s name: lead guitarist Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdottir, guitarist Ragnar “Raggy” Porhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rosenkranz Hilmarsson, and bassist Kristjan Pall Kristjansson! Of Monsters and Men’s first album, “My Head is an Animal, went gold and platinum. Their big break came when appearing at the Newport Folk Festival, Chicago’s Lallapalooza, in 2012 and the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee, in 2013. They made their TV debut on “Saturday Night Live.”
