Peking Acrobats Show

Juggle the family schedule and head for the Peking Acrobats at the Harris Theater February 6-7, and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel!

The Peking Acrobats debuted in 1986 and have been thrilling audiences ever since! Utilizing modern twists on ancient Chinese techniques dating back 2,000 years, the company’s gymnasts, jugglers, cyclists and tumblers take you on an unforgettable journey of the Far East!

Thrill to daring maneuvers atop a pagoda of chairs (the troupe holds a record of six performers in six chairs stacked twenty-one feet high), trick cycling, precision tumbling and somersaulting, and master gymnastics! The Peking Acrobats seemingly defy gravity with contortion, flexibility and control. They are accompanied by live musicians playing traditional Chinese instruments and high tech special effects! Featured in the George Clooney/Julia Roberts film, “Ocean’s 11,” the Peking Acrobats have appeared on film and live television.

“Feats of clowning, dexterity, grace, strength and coordination rippled from the stage in a series of pleasurable waves.” Chicago Tribune
