Robots at the Museum

Bring the family to see the Robots at the Museum exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry April 2-10, and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel!

To celebrate National Robotic Week, Chicago’s famous Museum of Science and Industry presents Robots at the Museum, a cool exhibit of robots designed by school kids, amateur engineers and top university robotics scholars! Watch robots fight to the death! (I’m kidding about the death part.) Interact with robots! And you can literally walk there from the Chicago Lake Shore Hotel!

And if you tire of robots (like that would happen), there are several week’s worth of displays and shows elsewhere. The Omnimax Theatre presents the awe inspiring “National Park Adventure,” narrated by actor/director Robert Redford. The “Humpback Whales” exhibit, through May 19, follows a team of scientists who track whales in Alaska, Hawaii and the remote islands of Tonga. Learn how whales sing, feed and play!

And there is the Coal Mine, the submarine, the train exhibit, the fairy castle, the sleepovers for kids, the Henry Crown Space Center, The Art of the Bicycle, the Earth Revealed exhibit, the walk through the Japanese gardens, and a ton more things to see and do!

The Museum of Science and Industry is located at 5700 South Lake shore Drive. For tickets and more information about Robots at the Museum, go online to www.msichicago.org.
