Taste of Chicago

Bring the family to Taste of Chicago July 11-15 and stay at the nearby and affordable Chicago Lake Shore Hotel in historic Hyde Park!

Taste of Chicago is a… taste of Chicago foods! It’s a food festival—the city says it’s the largest in the world—and it has all the food of the world. It’s also a music venue and a place to hang out with several thousand of your friends!

Sample of food venues: Chicago’s Dog House, La Bomba Restaurant, Robinson’s #1 Ribs, Texas De Brazil, Arun’s Thai Restaurant, Billy Goat Tavern, Die De Loa Tamales, O’Brien’s Bar and Restaurant, Star of Siam, Ikai Japanese Restaurant, Vee-Vee’s African Restaurant, Original Rainbow Cone, Eli’s Cheesecake Company, Porkchop, Lou Malnatti’s Pizzeria, and a ton more!

There will be daily food trucks including: American Glory Food Truck Chicago, Da Lobsta, The Fat Shallot, La Cocinita Food Truck, Harold’s Chicken, Beavers Coffee + Donuts, Lawrence’s Fish & Shrimp, Aztec Dave’s Food Truck, and much more! Pop-Up Restaurants: Bites, Broken English Taco Pub, Grill City, Classic Cobbler, Blackwood BBQ, Just Salad Chicago and lots more.

Two music venues will be on hand. The Bud Lite Stage will feature up and comers of the Chicago music scene. The Petrillo Music Shell will feature Brandi Carlisle, George Clinton Parliament of Funkadelic, The Flaming Lips, Black Star, Juanes, and more to be announced!

Taste of Chicago will be held in Grant Park at Jackson and Columbus. Admission is FREE. Food and beverage tickets are sold on site in strips of 14 tickets for $10 (includes $3 charge for Taste amenities). Smaller “Taste of” portions” are available for 1-6 tickets.

Make your Taste of Chicago experience more enjoyable by staying at the Chicago Lake Shore Hotel in Hyde Park. Chicago Lake Shore offers free shuttle bus service to and from the Loop area and is close to bus and train services. The Lake Shore Café offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. AND Jazz and seafood buffet (non-seafood items available) Friday nights.
