The 31st annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival brings together world class singers and choirs for a feast of powerful song! In addition to the live music, enjoy special events such as the Summer Workout with Gospel music on June 4, and Every Year Carries a Number, a panel discussion on preserving recordings of the past, on June 2.
Scheduled performers: Jessica Love, Candy LaFlora, When Shepherds Worship, Orchestra Ebenezer Ministry, Kenny Lewis and One Voice, quartets The James, the Douglas Singers, the Victory Travelers (Friday); Brian Courtney Wilson, William Murphy, Shirley Caesar, Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir (Saturday).
There will be food trucks with Chicago specialties at the Chicago Gospel Music Festival, as well as special parking areas for bicycles.
Millennium Park is located at 201 East Randolph Street on Chicago’s lakefront directly east of the Loop. Admission is free to all events.
